How You’ll Make an Impact
● Lead and manage the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
● Establish and communicate departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
● Oversee the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers, ensuring they meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
● Conduct and supervise on-site supplier audits and assessments.
● Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
● Monitor and analyze supplier performance data, including defect rates, delivery performance, and compliance with specifications.
● Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
● Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues.
● Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality management systems and processes.
● Provide training and support to suppliers to ensure alignment with company quality standards.
● Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with supplier quality.
● Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
● Maintain comprehensive records of supplier evaluations, audits, and performance metrics.
● Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to senior management.
What You Bring
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality management or a similar role.
● Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and methodologies.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with collaborators and internal team members.
● Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
● Willingness to travel as needed to conduct supplier audits and evaluations.
