POSITION OVERVIEW
The Walt Disney Company is committed to the promotion and maintenance of responsible international labor practices in its licensing and direct sourcing operations throughout the world. The company's International Labor Standards (ILS) Program is an important component of The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Social Responsibility and Responsible Supply Chain efforts, seeking to foster safe, inclusive, and respectful workplaces wherever Disney-branded products are produced.
The ILS Analyst supports the ILS Manager of Great China and Korea, is responsible for communicating ILS Program requirements to internal business units and licensees/vendors, addressing their ILS related concerns, maintaining accurate factory and licensee/vendor records in the ILS database, and other projects as required.
This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management internally and with external business contacts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate and educate internal Business Units (BU) and Licensees and Vendors on ILS Program requirements and processes.
Increase business unit and licensee / vendor visibility to ongoing ILS program enhancements.
Address inquiries from Licensee and Vendors and BUs regarding ILS reports, ILS audits, Corrective Action Plan (CAP) letters and other ILS communications
Timely complete regional work processes including FAMA authorization and ILS audit submissions.
Maintain accurate licensee, factory and relationship information in the ILS database.
Collaborate with regional management counterparts to ensure consistent application of ILS policies.
Facilitate communication and information gathering related to media issues, allegations and legislations with internal and external parties.
Collaborate and Liaise with internal stakeholders, e.g. Business Unit, Legal, Antipiracy, Contract Admin, Corporate Communications, Trade Compliance and etc., to obtain/provide information needed.
Identify licensee/vendor’s compliance risk, and conduct investigation with licensee/vendor.
Review and work with stakeholders internally and externally on special cases, e.g., allegation, accommodation, audit amendment, reinstatement, and etc.
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information when needed.
Assist in the development of ILS policies and procedures.
Support other projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or above
At least 3 years’ experience in Corporate Social Responsibility/Compliance
Experience in factory auditing preferred
Experience with supply chain in South Asia and/or Southeast Asia preferred
Experience working with database software preferred
Project experience preferred
SKILLS
Strong relationship management skills
Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Sharepoint)
Excellent command of written and oral English, and fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese
Ability to multi-task, meet goals and deadlines
Comfortable with teamwork and interactions with various stakeholders
